National Park Wildlife Removal Services
Bats often become a nuisance animal within National Park, NJ. Bats often congregate within homes attics, buildings and other man-made structures. There are several types of bats within National Park that will colonize in buildings and homes attics. These common house bats are the big brown bat and the little brown bat which are both found in this area of National Park. The photo here is representative of the damage that a bat colony can do if not properly taken care of. Types of Snakes of New Jersey
The New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife have identified 22-23 snake species that may be found within the state. New Jersey Herpetologist believe the 23rd species the Queen Snake is now locally extinct. Among the venomous snake species include the Northern Copperhead and Timber Rattlesnake. The nonvenomous water snake is often times confused with the cottonmouth (water moccasin) but this snake does not occur in New Jersey. All snakes of New Jersey are protected under the NJ Endangered and and Nongame Species Conservation Act, which makes it illegal for anyone to kill, collect, or harass native snake species.
Wildlife Removal experts receive many calls about a copperhead. During a copperhead’s life there are several periods of growth with the first being the juvenile state and the other being a full-grown copperhead. These are two very distinct looking creatures. The juvenile copperhead will have very distinct color pattern and a lime green tip on its tail. As the juvenile copperhead grows the lime green tip on its tail will fade away then becoming a very distinctive looking copper colored snake with black hourglass shapes that spans the length of its entire body. New Jersey copperheads mostly inhabit northern regions of the state.
This common type of snake we deal with in this area are black rat snakes, garden variety snakes, and copperheads. Copperheads are commonly found in National Park NJ. These are very dangerous snakes and you should never be attempted to handle without the proper safety equipment.
